In Loving Memory~ Vini LaFranca

Sometimes when contacting past clients to simply update information of either party, the information
is not what you expected hear. I was emailing Cindy and Vini of a new website that has gone live and the use of their images on the website. I was honored to have been selected as their photographer for their Vow Renewal just last year in September. The response email was heart breaking to say the least. After leaving Maui, Vini had contracted what was thought to be Pneumonia, after many Dr visits and tests, they determined it was cancer. Vini passed away on 3/27/12. Cindy is returning to Maui with Vini for an Aloha Ceremony to be preformed on the same date as their Wedding Anniversary and 7 yr Vow Renewal. I will be photographing the Ceremony of the spreading of his ashes to lay in the Bay where their Vow Renewal took place. Sad events to cover but the documentation of the event is cherished by those who were unable to attend. A hui hou käkou~ Sheryl

Beach weddings are the best, it’s so relaxed and fun loving. Maui has the most beautiful Backdrops for you to choose from many locations on our Tropical Island of Paradise. Maui No Ka Oi meaning Maui is the best and that is absolutely the truth. The south side of the island where Kihei and Wailea are located is the driest side of the island and least likely to have weather changing up where you have chosen to make a commitment of a lifetime. Love is always in the air on Maui we have weddings daily somewhere at some point everyday. Kelli & Mark- Happy Anniversary!

Had a very fun time with Kelli and Mark, they were on the cruise ship Pride of America. For their 36 hours on Maui they decided to have Anniversary photos taken, I picked them up from the boat we went to Polo Beach for a fantastic sunset shoot. Dropped them back at the dock for a fun filled evening experiencing a ” Hawaiian Luau” put on by Norwegian Cruise Lines. There are some great memories to be had at one of these shows…the food , the fire dancers, the Hula Girls….so much fun! Hope you ha an awesome evening to match the Maui sunset that nature gave us on your day! A Hui Hou!

Kihei Charter High School Prom

It’s that time of year again for the Kihei Charter kids on Maui. Prom this year is Hollywood Theme, held at the Waikapu Golf Course. Should be a fun evening for all the kids to enjoy! Tickets can be purchased at the High School @ $40 per person includes entry to the facility and dinner. Hope to see you all there!
